An Update From The Team

Dear Friends,

We send love and light to you and yours as we mourn for each and every Black life cut short by the individual and institutional racism and neglect that plagues our communities and country.

Please know that Return to the Origin of Love, originally scheduled to take place at The Town Hall, Thursday and Friday, June 25th and 26th, will be rescheduled for a year-end series of shows, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 29-30, featuring very special guest Amber Martin, the Tits of Clay, and as many other special guests as we can fit in my dressing room.

All tickets will be honored for the future date, or patrons are entitled to full refunds at point of purchase. We are working with our friends at Town Hall to give you the show you deserve while keeping everyone safe from harm via social distancing guidelines and venue cleansing.

We don’t want to be reckless. We want to be ready. Ready to bid farewell to a devastating year for all of us, to celebrate your perseverance in getting through these dark times, and usher in the new. To recognize and celebrate together the remarkable sacrifices made to keep us alive and going, those we have lost along the way, and to collectively benefit a number of partner organizations we are blessed to support.

If the new dates don’t work, we will move the dream to Valentine’s Day week. And if that gets pushed, well, we will do it again. After this many years…

So as we fight the good fight in the streets and forge new ground for all of those around us, know we can’t wait to see you on the other side to celebrate a post-Drumpf, post-oppression era of justice, love, light, and rejuvenation.

Love,
JCM
